In 2008, a pack of two EpiPens cost around $100, but today, that same pack costs about $600.

I am deeply concerned by drastic price increases throughout our healthcare system - and specifically for EpiPens. That's one of the reasons why I helped pass legislation to encourage medical innovation, known as the 21st Century Cures Act. Our bipartisan bill will help reduce bureacracy and red tape at the FDA that is slowing down the approval process for new drugs and devices, such as an EpiPen alternative. Now, we need the Senate to pass this life-saving bill as soon as possible.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has also begun an investigation into the pricing of EpiPens. I am continuing to follow this investigation to help ensure that families in our community have affordable access to life-saving drugs and devices like EpiPens.
